Wait a sec. Philosophers are warming up…

We are digging out dead souls for you.

Privacy Policy

Socrates.exe is in beta. Things may break, philosophers may contradict themselves, but we take your privacy seriously.
We collect only what is necessary to make the product work — and try very hard to collect nothing else.

Chat Messages & Memory

Your conversations are not stored as permanent chat logs.

  • Recent messages may be kept locally in your browser(on your device only) so a chat can resume after refresh or return.
  • This local chat history is limited, device-specific, and can be cleared at any time via your browser storage.
  • System notices (such as free-tier limits) and failed messages are never saved.

In addition, Socrates.exe uses a lightweight concept called User Memory.

This is not chat history. Instead, each philosopher may retain a short, evolving summary about you — such as preferred style, recurring topics, or long-running projects — to avoid repetitive conversations.

In short: the chat remembers the conversation.
The philosopher remembers the person.
The system forgets everything else.

Analytics & Consent

We use Google Analytics with Consent Mode.

Anonymous Chat Samples

During beta, we may collect anonymous chat samples to improve tone accuracy, safety, and system performance.

⚠️ Please do not enter personal, sensitive, or confidential information.

This applies to any chatbot — including Socrates.exe, ChatGPT, Gemini, or others.

No philosopher, assistant, or language model is a safe place for passwords, medical data, or bank details.
